Bruce Willis, the man in the vest last seen in A Good Day To Die Hard and G.I. Joe Retaliation, is set to star in action-thriller Expiration. It should be noted that the company behind the film, Emmett/Furla Films, are also those behind other Willis fair such as 16 Blocks, Lay The Favourite and Fire With Fire, so they’re track record together is questionable at best. However, Emmett/Furla’s next film, 2 Guns, stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg so they clearly know how to convince big names to star in their projects. Expiration will see Willis as a hitman who is poisoned and must race to get the antidote before he dies.
It all sounds remarkably similar to McG’s upcoming Kevin Costner vehicle Three Days To Kill which puts Costner’s former Secret Service Agent in the same predicament while trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter. Still, Hollywood has a habit of doubling up on high concept ideas; Deep Impact Vs. Armageddon and Volcano Vs. Dante’s Peak to name a couple. Whatever else happens we hope that Expiration is more Die Hard than The Cold Light Of Day. Willis will next be seen in RED 2 before heading back to Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For. Source – The Wrap
