Exploring Carl’s early passion for skydiving which led him to ever more spectacular and dangerous feats of human flight, SUNSHINE SUPERMAN chronicles the pinnacle of his dizzying achievements when he and wife Jean broke the BASE jumping Guinness World Record in 1984 on the Norwegian ‘Troll Wall’ mountain range. Incredibly, within days, triumph was followed by disaster.

The documentary reveals the eccentric BASE jumping characters inspiring historic moments through a stunning mix of Carl’s 16mm archive footage, well-crafted re-enactments and state-of-the-art aerial photography delivering a stunning and truly cinematic visual experience.

A visionary, infectious, larger-than-life character, Carl, with his wife and business partner Jean (the world’s first female BASE jumper), led an intrepid group of early BASE jumpers to pioneer and popularize the sport. Witness Carl and Jean push the limits of the law as well as what was humanly possible when SUNSHINE SUPERMAN is released on DVD from 28th September 2015.
