4DVD presents brand new British comedy YOUNGERS
MEET SOUTH LONDON’S FINEST WHO ARE OUT TO MAKE SOME SERIOUS NOISE IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS
AVAILABLE TO OWN ON DVD FROM 13TH MAY

From the award winning writers of My Murder (Levi David Addai), Casualty (Mark Catley) and Skins (Georgia Lester) comes a brand new British comedy drama, Youngers. Set in South London, the eight part drama follows a group of 16 year olds trying to negotiate their way through teenage life in a world that’s more about swagger than straight A’s.

It’s GCSE results day and best friends Yemi (Ade Oyefeco), a talented bedroom producer and Jay aka Mr Linksta (Calvin Demba) nervously make their way to find out what the future holds. Yemi has aced it and Jay’s flunked out. Determined not to end up a ‘boiler man’ like his dad, self-confessed ladies man Jay turns his focus to Mic Star, a local music talent competition.

Jay convinces Yemi to join him in Mic Star. Yemi, who is torn between his ambitions for college and his love of music recruits the shy and beautiful Davina (Shavani Seth) to also join group. Though Davina’s love of urban music means the Youngers are a natural fit for her, will her insecurity about where she comes from hold her back?

The trio are watched over by Ashley (Arinze Kene), a former ‘Top Boy’ of the endz who’s done time in a young offenders institution but turned over a new leaf and encourages them to follow their dreams.

Starring alongside the fresh cast of British talent is YouTube comedy sketch sensations Joivan Wade, Percelle Ascott and Dee Kartier as ‘Mandem On The Wall’. Youngers also features a host of original grime and rap music from songwriter Aiden Hogarth who has previously collaborated with chart topper Tinchy Strider.

As they deal with real life issues, exam pressures, drugs and relationships, teenage life becomes tough. Will their hunger for success pay off? Are they destined to be the next big thing? Find out in this brand new witty and original comedy drama, out on to own for the first time on DVD.
