Samuel Love1980s smash-hit Crocodile Dundee and its follow-up Crocodile Dundee II make their long-awaited 4K UHD debut, with a rather significant elephant in the room. The first film is released in a censored form – subtitled The Encore Cut – that has some jokes removed. There’s obviously a bigger discussion here around censorship and this particular case, but long story short, censorship like this is never the answer. A shame, then, that this will likely be the most widely available cut going forward. Both films otherwise look and sound great, and are just as entertaining as ever – but there’s no getting around the fact that the first film is incomplete.
