Broadcast on Channel 4 between 1997 and 1998, Fortean TV was a celebration of the miraculous, the mysterious and the downright weird! One of television’s most popular paranormal series – and an influence on many shows that followed – Fortean TV’s vast collection of esoteric stories plundered one of the word’s greatest libraries of the bizarre, the occult, and all points in between to deliver a show that left audiences prepared to believe.

Hosted by the intrepid Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe, this cult series examined the strangest supernatural phenomena from around the darkest, oddest corners of the  planet.

Hauntings, the Yeti, aliens, a pork scratching that resembles the Virgin Mary: Fortean TV left no stone unturned in its quest to unearth the inexplicable, the eccentric and the just plain WTF.

This December Network releases all 18 episodes, plus the harder-edged uncut spin-off plus along with the highly memorable Christmas special!

This was TV from the era of Eurotrash, Rapido, and The Word, so you can expect lots of cheeze with a hefty helping of post-modern irony. Which makes this the perfect thing to cozy up with on Winter nights, or maybe just chuckle your way through after a few too many festive toasts.
