Film Review

Regularly appearing on lists of the best action films ever made, Police Story 3: Supercop represents the pinnacle of Jackie Chan’s unique style of Hong Kong action filmmaking. The result is a dazzling blend of gritty cop drama, impeccably choreographed martial-arts sequences, and bone-crunching stunt work.

In this third instalment in the hit franchise, Chan is joined by Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as Inspector Yang Chien-Hua, who teams up with Chan Ka-Kui to take down an international drug ring.

Featuring some of the most dangerous and outrageous stunts ever performed on camera, Police Story 3: Supercop is a breathtaking action movie, that must truly be seen to be believed.

Eureka’s brand new 4K restoration finally brings this iconic Hong Kong actioner to blu-ray for the first time in the UK as a part of their Classics range.

The first print-run of 3000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase with artwork by Darren Wheeling, facsimile Lobby Cards, and a Collector’s Booklet. But where Eureka really come up trumps here is with the extensive selection of extras, which includes multiple versions of the film. So, if you’ve been hunting for the version that you owned on VHS in the ‘90s, or the US theatrical release you saw in an arthouse cinema, or just a good, uncut, sympathetically dubbed edition, then Eureka have you covered. Buy this: you won’t be disappointed.
