Farscape: The Complete Series Blu-ray 25th Anniversary Edition

If you know, you know. And if you don’t, then it’s probably time you sat down and watched Farscape. Irreverent, funny, heart-wrenching, and utterly, utterly unmissable, Farscape was that show that broke all the rules and, in the process, won itself a dedicated fanbase.

Often imitated but never bettered, this epic sci-fi blended live-action, state-of-the-art puppetry, prosthetics, and CGI to deliver edge-of-your-seat thrills, unforgettable characters, and mind-boggling alien lifeforms.

John Crichton (Ben Bova) is an astronaut flung through a wormhole and lost in a galaxy far from home. Finding himself in the middle of a prison break, surrounded by hostile aliens, soaring through space inside a glorious living spaceship, while being hunted by the relentless Peacekeepers, John must ally himself with a crew of unimaginably alien refugees in order to find his way home.

Running from 1999 to 2003, Farscape was abruptly cancelled after Season 4, which ended with a “To Be Continued” tag. Fans responded in the only way true Farscape fans could — by shouting “frell you mothermivonks” and “you’re all a bunch of farbots” at the Sci-Fi Channel, until they relented and tied up the loose ends in a mini-series called Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.

Fabulous Films’ latest box set includes all 88 episodes, plus the Peacekeeper Wars, in high definition blu-ray — just in time for the 25th anniversary. Which is the perfect excuse for a rewatch.
