Who doesn’t love a rip-roaring tale of outlandish adventure?

Tales of Hazard is the only record of ten unique radio broadcasts originally aired by the BBC in the summer of 1932 as part of the Hazard Series, and now published by Daredevil Books, who specialise in accounts of derring-do from the early 20th Century.

These accounts are as riveting as they are varied and dramatic—and all told by extraordinary people who beat the odds to survive in the most challenging and dangerous of situations.

In Tales of Hazard, we read about the the bravery of the captain of a sinking First World War ‘Q’ Ship, fierce desert fighting with the French Foreign Legion, the thrills of a tracking down a group of blood-thirsty Turkish brigands, and a first-hand description of flying a Zeppelin on a mission to bomb London before being shot down. The volume also includes Edgar Evans’ remarkable account of near-death experiences with Captain Scott’s South Pole expedition.

Daredevil Books’ 210-page book, includes a specially commissioned preface by Colonel John Blashford-Snell CBE, alongside rare period photographs.

Full of the sort of thrills and chills you can only get from real-life adventure tales, Tales of Hazard is a genuine page-turner. What’s more, Daredevil Books are offering FilmJuice readers 20% off the retail price. Just visit www.daredevilbooks.co.uk and quote the code FB20
