A string of grisly murders is traced back to the sinister, sensuous Countess (Lady Gaga) – an infamous resident of the stylish Hotel Cortez in downtown Los Angeles. As The Countess and her child underlings’ hotel hideaway is disturbed by John Lowe – a Los Angeles homicide detective on the hunt for a disturbed mass murderer – things begin to get dangerous.

Alongside Lady Gaga (Sin City, Muppets Most Wanted) as The Countess, the hotels residents include Academy and BAFTA award-winning Kathy Bates (Titanic, The Blind Side) as Iris. Matt Bomer (Magic Mike, The Nice Guys) plays  the hotel manager and front desk clerk. Evan Peters (Kick-Ass, X-Men: Apocalypse) is also back in the latest series as the murderous and sadistic founder of the Hotel Cortez, James Patrick March. Chloe Sevigny (Love & Friendship, American Psycho) tops off the talented lineup as Dr. Alex Lowe, wife of Detective John Lowe (The Hunger Games, Interstellar).

To celebrate the home entertainment release of American Horror Story we delve into the evil heart of Hotel Cortez with a look behind-the-scenes look at what inspired the show’s creators, Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy, to craft the Hotel into such a breeding ground for EVIL…

American Horror Story: Hotel is available on Blu-ray™ & DVD now courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
