Hailed as one of the best new science fiction shows on television Skydance’s Altered Carbon, takes us into the cyberpunk world of Stacks – implanted chips that store human consciousness. Upon death, the information contained in the stacks can be transferred to a new, synthetic body, making true death rare.

Based on the 2002 novel by English author Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon is set more than 360 years in the future and features Takeshi Kovacs—a former solider turned detective— who finds himself sleeved in an unfamiliar body and assigned to investigate the murder of a wealthy businessman. As he slowly begins to unravel the seedy underbelly of a society, he discovers that the world is not what it seems.

Altered Carbon: The Art And Making Of The Series cover seasons 1 and 2 of the critically-acclaimed series, which premiered on Netflix in February, and introduces Joel Kinnaman (House Of Cards) and Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Infinity War) as Takeshi Kovacs. This captivating edition has an entire chapter dedicated to the hand-drawn storyboards used to chart the thrilling action in key sequences from season 1.

This richly detailed and beautifully presented 176-page coffee table book takes readers from the glittering Aerium to the gritty streets of Bay City. Featuring episode stills, development art, final designs, VFX builds, set photos, unseen storyboards, and concept art from the first two seasons, plus interviews with the cast and crew. Altered Carbon: The Art and Making of the Series will bring readers into this visually stunning futuristic world where technology has transformed mortality.

Author Abbie Bernstein, also wrote The Art Of Mad Max: Fury Road, The Art And Making Of The Flash, The Guild: The Official Companion, and The Cabin In The Woods: Official Visual Companion.
