When it comes to celebrity crushes, gone are the days of the sweaty, muscular hunk without a thought in his head. Nowadays it’s all about the svelte, sensitive soul … the more thoughtful and well-dressed man … the man we could take home to meet our parents. Look at us all grown up! To celebrate the release of Don Jon, starring the lovely Joseph Gordon-Levitt, on Blu-ray and DVD FilmJuice has put together a list of our favourite clean-cut crushes. Just keep it to yourself …

Joseph Gordon-Levitt
The incredibly talented man of the moment, Joseph Gordon-Levitt can’t seem to put a foot wrong. Having starred in some of the biggest films of the past five years including (500) Days Of Summer, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Looper he’s recently turned his talents to writing, directing and acting in this year’s highly-anticipated romantic comedy Don Jon – a satire about the unrealistic expectations people bring into relationships.

Ryan Gosling
The face that launched a thousand ‘Hey Girl’ memes, we first locked eyes on Ryan Gosling’s baby blues in 2004’s The Notebook. Since setting the bar pretty darn high for us in our ongoing quest for our own One And Only, the diverse actor has starred in a wide range of great films including The Place Beyond The Pines, Drive, Gangster Squad and Crazy Stupid Love.

Andrew Garfield
Even before he donned the iconic suit in The Amazing Spider-Man, we’d already fallen in love with Andrew Garfield’s quick-wit and just-rolled-out-of-bed hair, and it seems girlfriend Emma Stone felt the same when they were cast as on-screen sweethearts. The brainy Brit’s breakout role in Boy A led to critical acclaim on this side of the pond, but it was playing Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network that made the rest of the world take notice.

Jake Gyllenhall
Beginning his career playing teenage geek types in films such as Donnie Darko and The Day After Tomorrow, Jake Gyllenhall channeled his intelligent persona into adulthood to become the thinking man’s hero in gritty dramas such as Brothers, Jarhead, Brokeback Mountain and Zodiac.

Eddie Redmayne
Having already won our hearts playing the romantic lead in Birdsong and My Week With Marilyn, Eddie Redmayne then made certain that we were hooked by turning in a stellar performance in Les Miserables. Belting his way through some of the West End’s most challenging numbers, the multi-talented actor carried his own alongside Hollywood heavyweights such as Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman.

Don Jon is available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download now.
