Two more Shudder titles are coming to home media thanks to Acorn Media, both promising frights and delights in equal measure for Halloween season.

First up, They Live in the Grey is a chilling and emotionally-packed exploration of grief through a supernatural lens, and was described by The Guardian as “properly scary and thoughtfully constructed”. Fronted by a memorable, awards-worthy performance by Michelle Krusiec, this nerve-jangler is an absolute must-see for horror fans looking for something a little more psychologically scarring…

Secondly, The Twin puts Teresa Palmer through a nightmare as an entity claiming to be her son’s dead twin brother begins to take over her surviving child. Again more focused on exploring grief and loss through horror, The Twin makes for a fantastic companion piece for They Live in the Grey and will haunt your nightmares for weeks to come.

Both of these films are superb chillers that are essential purchases for any horror collectors.

They Live in the Grey (18)

While investigating a child abuse case, a clairvoyant social worker discovers that the family is being tormented by a supernatural entity. In order to save the parents from losing the custody of their child, she must confront her own fears and use her ability to stop the malevolent force.

They Live in the Grey is available on digital and DVD from 26 September

The Twin (15)

In the aftermath of a tragic accident where their son was killed, Rachel and Anthony decide to move to the other side of the world to focus on their surviving twin son, Elliot. What begins as a time of healing and isolation in the Scandinavian countryside, turns into a desperate battle for the very soul of their son. When an entity claiming to be his dead twin brother takes over Elliot, Rachel is set on a diabolical journey to unravel the horrible truth about Elliot’s twin.

The Twin is available on digital, DVD, and Blu-ray from 3 October

Upcoming additions to the series include This is Gwar, Spine of Night, and George A. Romero’s The Amusement Park
