This November, cozy up with Animal—a brand-new feel good nature series, which follows eight families of the natural world and brings together a group of internationally renowned actors to narrate each episode.

Whether it’s their remarkable intelligence, incredible hunting prowess, or surprisingly human qualities, some creatures capture our imagination and we’re only just beginning to understand their true.

Using stunning visuals, immersive soundscapes, and the latest scientific techniques, Animal, enters the worlds of each distinctive wild family to discover what sets them apart.

Animal was filmed entirely during the Covid-19 pandemic, which presented a huge challenge to the production of an international wildlife series. While some crews were able to visit certain countries during limited time windows, the team also used local camera operators to film in inaccessible countries. With local knowledge, and the ability to time their shoots based on weather conditions, these crews managed to capture some surprising behaviour and intimate moments—bringing a new level of insight to the series.

Each episode focusses on the story of a central character—including a mother lioness, a wild dog family, a kangaroo joey and a young giant pacific octopus—and promises to be an emotional, immersive and revelatory ride into some of the greatest wildernesses on Earth. The narrators for Season 1 will be Bryan Cranston, Rashida Jones, Rebel Wilson and Pedro Pascal, who have been carefully chosen to bring to life the different characters of our animals and give each episode a unique feel.

Season 2 of Animal is set to air in 2022 and will be narrated by Andy Serkis, Anthony Mackie, David Harbour and Uzo Aduba.

Season 1 of ANIMAL, comes from Plimsoll Productions who produced Night On Earth, and will air on Netflix from November 10th, 2021.
