Building a steady following over the last few summers, Pop Up Screens returns with its biggest programme to date, playing more areas and a bigger variation of films than ever.

The perfect way to ease a film lover’s guilt of watching movies in the warm weather, Pop Up’s giant inflatable screen will be bouncing across the city to much loved parks in Fulham, Shepherd’s Bush and Morden amongst others.

With a line up covering everything from Anchorman to V for Vendetta, expect a little something for everyone. Family classics include E.T, The Wizard of Oz and The Goonies, there’s biting teen wit in Juno, Mean Girls and Empire Records, throbbing testosterone in showings of The Terminator and Top Gun and the chance for a hearty sing along as Grease, Dirty Dancing and Priscilla Queen of the Desert are played throughout July, August and September.

Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon is looking forward to 2013’s mammoth programme. “The idea of coming back is very exciting and we’ve had a lot of fun putting the movie list together so there should be something for everyone.

As you get a bit older cinema loses that buzz, but outdoor cinema hasn’t lost that excitement, and you can genuinely feel it as you settle down to a watch a film you love, with 300 other people who love it too.”
