Punchdrunk’s ‘The Drowned Man’ Announce Special Screenings
Those who like their films haunting and their venue eccentric will be all for a recent season of films hosted in the Encino Theatre cinema at Temple Studios, London this spring.
Punchdrunk, the company that are currently presenting the brilliant interactive play The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable, are putting on a special season to be held on set and showing a selection of eerily appropriate films on a beautifully authentic 16mm projector.
Screenings of Day of the Locust and Sunset Boulevard have already sold out, but additional screenings, including Touch of Evil and a 1947 film adaptation of Woyzeck, the play which inspired The Drowned Man will have dates announced shortly within the sets tiny cinema.
Visitors will be treated to an intimate show amongst the deserted set and if you’re lucky a mid film treat during intermission. Updates on upcoming films will be posted here.
The Drowned Man has just extended its run and will continue up to the 29th of June. Further information can be found here.
