Halloween H20 Steelbook Unboxing

20 years after John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween introduced the world to Michael Myers and redefined the slasher film, Steve Miner – director of Friday the 13th Part 2 and 3, and House – took up behind-the-camera duties on the 7th film in the series. The highest grossing Halloween until 2018’s new trilogy launcher, tediously-titled Halloween H20: 20 Years Later is a fun entry in the Myers saga that gave us the first of arguably five “final” showdowns between Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie and the iconic masked maniac. While it’s nowhere near the quality of Carpenter’s original – or indeed the better entries of the recent Blumhouse trilogy – this is a decent, if schlocky, slasher packed with memorable moments and a great performance from Curtis.

It’s unclear why Paramount have given the film this lavish 4K Steelbook treatment – despite its 25th anniversary, it’s hardly deserving of such a beautiful release – but any fans out there will certainly be very grateful. It will surely be an essential part of any Halloween collectors’ shelf.

Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of HALLOWEEN H20 with this limited edition 4K Ultra HD™ Steelbook,® featuring the frightening return of maniacal killer Michael Myers. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode, still haunted by the tragic events of that fateful evening of terror on Halloween, 1978. Featuring Josh Hartnett, Michelle Williams, LL Cool J, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and original scream queen Janet Leigh, this fan-favourite from the HALLOWEEN franchise was directed by Steve Miner (FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, LAKE PLACID).
