Samuel LoveRereleased on Blu-ray in a beautiful mediabook special edition, In from the Side – “one of the year’s best films” according to Entertainment Focus – is a powerful romance set in the world of cold, muddy, grassroots rugby. This lo-fi drama, aided by a Kickstarter campaign, is an exceptional film that succeeds as both a tale of forbidden love, and a bruising sports drama. A feeling of authenticity is aided considerably by the film’s indie construction, with blistering performances that feel real and characters that feel lived-in. In from the Side is a magnificent film, truly deserving of this wonderful new special edition Blu-ray release from Verve Pictures.

Team spirit, loyalties, camaraderie and the support the players have for one-another both on and off the pitch are tested against the darker and more competitive and emotional undertones rife in this environment.
