Samuel LoveIrish Blood is a moody, slow-burn crime drama starring Alicia Silverstone – star of Clueless and cinematic masterpiece Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed – that explores family secrets, guilt, and the long shadow of the past, set against starkly beautiful Irish landscapes. Sombre in tone and certainly a lot slower and darker than the usual Acorn Media cosy crime fare, this gripping mystery/thriller is a compelling 6-parter and, with a second series on the way, it would be very wise to catch up. Another terrific new series in the Acorn catalogue.
