Lie with Me Unboxing

Based on the beautiful much-loved novel by Philippe Besson – translated into English, bizarrely, by Molly Ringwald – this mesmerising French romance is a stunning story of memory, age, and love. Directed by Olivier Peyon, Lie with Me has received a lovely Collector’s Edition Blu-ray from Peccadillo Pictures. Described as this year’s Call Me By Your Name, the film is surely destined for modern classic status.

In the powerfully emotional drama LIE WITH ME, successful novelist Stéphane is stunned to unexpectedly meet Lucas, the son of his first love Thomas. This triggers for Stéphane vivid memories of his passionate but secret adolescent affair, at a time when homosexuality was kept in the shadows. As Stéphane confronts the painful ghosts of the past, Lucas also begins to understand his father’s truth in Olivier Peyon’s moving and superbly acted adaptation of Philippe Besson’s acclaimed novel.

  • Interviews with director Olivier Peyon, author Philippe Besson, actors Victor Belmondo, Jérémy Gillet & Julien De Saint Jean & Guilaine Londez.
