Mean Streets Unboxing

“You don’t make up for your sins in church. You do it in the streets. You do it at home. The rest is bullsh*t and you know it.”

Second Sight Films have smashed it out of the park once again with this ridiculously lavish release of Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets, the beloved filmmaker’s first crime film and debut collaboration with Robert De Niro. After celebrating its 50th anniversary last year and enjoying a brief cinema re-release, the film’s gorgeous new 4K restoration is available now in this definitive release. This is one of Second Sight’s finest works yet; a true masterpiece in stunning UHD alongside gorgeously recreated lobby cards and an exhaustive hardback book of essays that is worth the price of purchase alone for film fans. An absolutely magnificent release and one that you should make space for on your shelf as a matter of urgency.
