Memories of Murder Unboxing

Long before Bong Joon-ho scooped up his Academy Awards for 2016’s Parasite, he crafted one of the most chilling serial killer thrillers of all time. Memories of Murder is compelling and truly harrowing experience, made all the more disturbing and unique by the fact the case it was based on was – until 2019 – unsolved, and the killer remained a mystery. Widely considered one of the best Korean films of all time, Memories of Murder makes its UK UHD debut with a beautiful, lavishly packaged release from Curzon. Boasting three posters (2 of which are double-sided) and a booklet within its stunning digipack, this release celebrates the enduring legacy of the film – and the 4K UHD looks absolutely magnificent. This is a contender for one of the best releases of the year.

Curzon Film is proud to present this new 4K Ultra-HD of Memories of Murder, from triple Academy Award-winning director, Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, Okja, Snowpiercer). Inspired by true events, this rain-drenched sophomore feature from Bong blends true-crime with social satire and comedy in his typically masterful fashion. In 1986 Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, after two women are found raped and murdered, Seoul detective Seo Tae-yoon (Kim Sang-kyung) is brought in to help local detective Park Doo-man (Song Kang-ho, Parasite) with the investigation. As more bodies are found, the pair realise they have a serial killer on their hands.
