Anna Kendrick Heads Into The Woods
Anna Kendrick, the Oscar nominated actress last seen in Pitch Perfect and Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, has joined the cast of musical Into The woods. The film already boasts the likes of Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Jake Gyllenhaal, Emily Blunt and James Corden and tells the story of a Baker, to be played by Depp, and his wife who venture into the woods to try and lift a curse put upon them to prevent them having children. While in the woods they encounter all manner of classic fairytale characters including Rapunzel, Jack And The Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and now Kendrick’s Cinderella. The film is being directed by Rob Marshall who has a little experience in musicals having directed Nine and Chicago and will be based on the Tony Award winning stage musical which in turn was based on the book by James Lapine. Before she gets her fairytale on Kendrick will be seen opposite Olivia Wilde in Drinking Buddies before battling the apocalypse in Rapture-Palooza. Source – The Hollywood Reporter
