Blues Brothers Star Wows London
This week, London partied like it was 1980, thanks to Dan Aykroyd – star of iconic films The Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters.
Hosting an event to promote Crystal Head Vodka, Aykroyd was given an ecstatic welcome at Shoreditch’s Blues Kitchen when he jumped onstage to perform blues classics such as Born In Chicago.
Free tickets to a one-off night of the finest music and Crystal Head Vodka cocktails were offered online with over 7,000 people applying. Signature drinks included Popcorn Fizz – champaign mixed with butter popcorn-infused Crystal Head, and maple syrup – alongside a dirty martini flavoured with pickle juice and kummel.
Crystal Head is Aykroyd’s own brand – conceived and founded in 2007. The award-winning vodka is quadruple-distilled and heptuple-filtered, with the final three filtrations through Herkimer diamond. The hugely collectable skull bottles were designed by artist John Alexander and made by Milan-based glass-manufacturer Bruni Glass.
