Last time out he headed to World War II and for his next project Brad Pitt will head to Africa with his wife Angelina Jolie. No, not on a family holiday but for Jolie’s next directorial effort which is based on the true story of paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey. The script has been written by The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button’s Eric Roth so he’ll know a little thing or two about penning a script with Pitt in the lead.
Leakey spent his time in Africa during the 1980s battling poachers who were taking the elephants tusks and decimating the elephant population. Jolie says the script is about “a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers who emerged with a deeper understanding of man’s footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him,”. Jolie has managed to bag her Oscar nominated director of photography from Unbroken Roger Deakins to bring the film his typically glorious visuals.
Before all that we’ll next see Pitt and Jolie starring opposite each other in another Jolie directed film By The Sea which sees the pair as a married couple trying to rectify their relationship in France during the 1970s. Source – The Wrap
