Yes – it’s time to start using that word…. Christmas! And this festive season sees some fabulous screenings heading to London town courtesy of  the authentically original pop up cinema, Pop Up Screens.

This season, the classic pop up returns with a magical programme of classic Christmas movies to delight audiences both young and old.  The theme is Cinema In The Snow and Pop Up Screens will be creating their own unique winter wonderland at the Hackney Showroom, East London, where the audience will enter the cinema through a wardrobe and be able to snuggle up in their very own white Christmas.

Pop Up Screens’ classic Christmas movies line-up includes the much-loved family favourites Elf, Home Alone, Miracle On 34th Street and The Muppets Christmas Carol.  Also added to the mix are films to curl up with, Love Actually and It’s A Wonderful Life as well as off-beat comic classics The Grinch and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Tickets are £20 for adults, £10 for under 10s and families can get a bonus price ticket of £50 for two adults and two under 10s.

In this wonderland setting audiences will of course find popcorn from Drum and Kernel, as well as handmade brownies, craft beer, pimped hot chocolate and lovely festive mulled wine plus a range of other alcoholic and soft drinks.

Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon said: “Pop Up Screens is all about creating an atmosphere for you to have fun with your friends and loved ones and see a movie you love.”
