Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon sequel Green Destiny has bagged itself not only a star but also a director.  The good news is both were heavily involved in the first film.  Michelle Yeoh will return to reprise her role as Shu Lien, who is a more central character in the film based on Wng Du Lu’s Crane Iron books.  Meanwhile original Crouching Tiger fight choreographer Yuen Wo Ping will direct the film and has recruited Donnie Yen, famed for his stunning fighting abilities in the Yip Man films, to fill the pivotal role of Silent Wolf.  The story sees a new generation of lovers having to fight evil forces.  The original film won Ang Lee his first best director Oscar back in 2000 and grossed $213.5 million at the global box office.  The Weinstein Company is behind this production and have high hopes it can perform similar feats in cinemas.  Source – The Wrap

Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
