Karen Gillan, best known as Dr. Who’s assistant Amy Pond, is the latest addition to Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy.  While her role is being kept under wraps it is said to be the main female villain of the film.  That presumably means she’ll be teaming with Lee Pace to try and thwart the Guardians led by Parks And Rec’s Chris Pratt as fighter pilot Peter Quill who joins the Guardians and becomes Star Lord.  Ophelia Lovibond is also on board for villainy duties as a rumoured assistant to Pace’s character.  Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Glenn Close, and Zoe Saldana are also set to star, if the latter finally signs her long gestating contract.  Super and Slither director James Gunn is directing the film which marks one of the more daring instalments to Marvel’s Phase Two plans.  Gillan will soon be seen in Not Another Happy Ending before starring opposite Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff for Oculus.  Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
