Waaaay back in 1957 Hammer released one of their classic horrors in the form of The Abominable Snowman.  With many films currently in the works about people climbing Everest, it seems Hammer is taking the snow by the horns and looking to re-make their classic horror.  The original film saw a group of scientists trying to track down the legendary Yeti and getting more than they bargained for.  The remake will put a modern spin on the concept and see an expedition making an illegal climb up a mountain only to accidentally awaken the creature, much to their detriment.  The film is being produced by The Woman In Black: Angels of Death and The Quiet Ones Ben Holden with a script from Pusher writer Matthew Read and Angel’s Of Death’s Jon Croker.  It continues Hammer’s revival after the success of The Woman In Black and 2010’s Let Me In.  Source – Hammer

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
