Jennifer Lawrence, soon to be seen back in arena for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, is set to reteam with her original Hunger Games director Gary Ross for a new adaptation of John Steinbeck’s East Of Eden.  Steinbeck’s book was famously adapted back in 1955 with James Dean starring.  The story is a modern retelling of Cain and Abel set around World War I with two brothers Cal and Aron vying for their father Adam’s affection.  If the project goes ahead Lawrence will play the boys mother Cathy.

It’s not the only project Ross and Lawrence are looking to re-team on with the pair also looking to adapt Hannah Kent’s Burial Rites for the screen.  That story tells of a woman accused of murder with the local authorities desperate for a public hanging despite her potential innocence.  Before all that Lawrence has a double bill of Bradley Cooper in Serena and then David O. Russell’s American Hustle before she gets all blue as Mystique in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.  Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
