The Sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman, known simply as The Huntsman (sorry Snow), has added another big name actress to its cast in the shape of Jessica Chastain. The film already boasts the likes of Charlize Theron, returning from the first film and Emily Blunt so adding Chastain is makes quite the impressive trio.
The film, which is being directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, after original writer-director Frank Darabont dropped out due to those pesky creative differences, is being kept hush-hush for now. But it is widely expected to act as a prequel to the Kristin Stewart starring original of how Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman came to know Theron’s Queen Ravenna. Blunt is rumoured to be playing the role of Ravenna’s sister but there is no word as yet who Chastain will be playing. Could she be Hemsworth wife briefly mentioned in the first film? Only time and magic mirrors will tell.
Before she goes into the wood with The Huntsman though Chastain will be seen in another gothic offering in Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak. Source – Variety
