Jessica Chastain, the Oscar nominated star last seen in Zero Dark Thirty and horror Mama, is set to star in The Zookeepers Wife.  Based on the book by Diane Ackerman, The Zookeepers Wife tells the true story of Jan and Antonina Zabinski the keepers of Warsaw Zoo who, when the Nazis invaded Poland, saved dozens of Jews by hiding them in animal cages.  While Jan was a part of the resistance, Antonina would look after their houseguests.  Angela Workman, who has previously written The War Bride and Snow Flower & The Secret Fan, has adapted the book for screen with North Country and Whale Rider director Niki Caro set to direct.  Chastain has the double hitter of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby His and Hers coming out later this year before heading off to Crimson Peak with Guillermo del Toro, Emma Stone and Benedict Cumberbatch.   Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
