Kate Hudson, the Oscar nominated star of Almost Famous and soon to be seen in The Reluctant Fundamentalist, is joining Zach Braff for his Kickstarter funded film Wish I Was Here.  The film will see Braff as out of work actor Aidan Bloom who is struggling to find his place in the world.  With he and his wife, the part Hudson will fill, suffering from financial problems things get worse when Aidan’s father, played by Homeland’s Mandy Patinkin, falls ill and is unable to pay for Aidan’s children’s private education.  Not wanting to send the kids to the local high school, Aidan decides to home school them and soon gives up on the usual subjects in favour of his own life curriculum which helps him figure out who he is.  Josh Gad, soon to be seen in The Internship, is also on board as Aidan’s brother who falls for cosplay girl Anna Kendrick.  Braff has written the script and is planning to start shooting this August.  Before that we’ll see Hudson in HBO movie Clear History with Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David.   Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
