
Kate Hudson Joins Braff’s Wish I Was Here
Kate Hudson, the Oscar nominated star of Almost Famous and soon to be seen in The Reluctant Fundamentalist, is joining Zach Braff for his Kickstarter funded film Wish I Was Here. The film will see Braff as out of work actor Aidan Bloom who is struggling to find his place in the world. With he and his wife, the part Hudson will fill, suffering from financial problems things get worse when Aidan’s father, played by Homeland’s Mandy Patinkin, falls ill and is unable to pay for Aidan’s children’s private education. Not wanting to send the kids to the local high school, Aidan decides to home school them and soon gives up on the usual subjects in favour of his own life curriculum which helps him figure out who he is. Josh Gad, soon to be seen in The Internship, is also on board as Aidan’s brother who falls for cosplay girl Anna Kendrick. Braff has written the script and is planning to start shooting this August. Before that we’ll see Hudson in HBO movie Clear History with Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David. Source – Deadline
