Keira Knightley, last seen in Anna Karenina and soon to be seen in Can A Song Save Your Life?, may be in line to replace the departed Anne Hathaway in Laggies. Lynne Shelton, the prolific director behind such films as Humpday and Your Sister’s Sister, will write and direct the film which tells the story of a woman who reacts to her boyfriend’s marriage proposal by telling him she’s going away on a business trip only to actually go and hang out with a 16 year old girl. Sam Rockwell is already cast as is Chloe Moretz in the young girl role. Hathaway had been cast but has had to drop out of the film due to a scheduling conflict with Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Shelton also has her latest flim Touchy Feely at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Knightley meanwhile will be seen later this year opposite Star Trek’s Chris Pine in Jack Ryan.
