Just when you thought the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next film Interstellar couldn’t get any better the director goes and adds even more star power with Matt Damon.  The actor, currently in cinemas with sci-fi opus Elysium, joins the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Topher Grace, John Lithgow, David Oyelowo and Ellen Burstyn.  This being a Nolan film not much is really known about the plot.  What is known is the film will follow a group of explorers who use a recently discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations of human’s understanding of space travel.  Could this be Nolan’s 2001: A Space Odyssey?  The word is that Damon ha been cast in a ‘small’ role and with the film already in production is seems unlikely his casting in a main part would take place so late in the game.  Before he heads off to space Damon will next be seen in Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem.  Source – The Playlist

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
