Not satisfied with winning an Oscar for The Dallas Buyers Club Matthew McConaughey is now considering starring in The Billionaire’s Vinegar.  It seems jetting off into space for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar was enough to bring McConaughey back to earth and wanting to focus more on true stories.

The Billionaire’s Vinegar is based on the book by Benjamin Wallace and is set in 1985 amid the purchase of a particularly expensive bottle of wine.  When one of the Forbes Family shells out a cool $156,000 for a bottle of wine that is supposedly a 1787 Chateau Lafite Bordeaux from former President Thomas Jefferson’s personal collection.  But it soon turns out the wine might not be the rarity originally thought and it turns out that the buyer, Bill Koch, was willing to shell out more than twice what he paid for it in order to prove it.  His findings led him to sue music manager Hardy Rodenstock who had originally ‘found’ the cache of wine.

There’s no word at this point on who McConaughey might play in the story and is still yet to find a director.  Will Smith‘s Overbook company is set to produce.  Before that McConaughey has recently starred for Gus Van Sant in Sea Of Trees, is currently shooting Gary Ross‘ true story The Free State Of Jones before heading over to look for Gold in Stephen Gaghan‘s film.  Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
