Michael Fassbender, currently to be almost seen in Frank, under a giant head, and soon to be seen getting his magnets on in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, has joined Derek Cianfrance’s The Lights Between Oceans. Based on M.L. Steadman’s novel, Fassbender will play Tom Sherbourne a lighthouse keeper on a rock off the coast of Western Australia. When a rowboat washes up carrying a dead body and a baby he and his wife decide to raise the baby as their own, opening Tom’s world up to all manner of moral questions despite having lived through the horrors of World War I. Many had assumed Cianfrance would look to recruit his Place Beyond The Pines star Ryan Gosling but he seems determined to stick to his directing roles at the moment. Cianfrance is currently putting the finishing touches to his next film Metalhead, about a former heavy metal drummer who blows out his eardrums and must learn to live in a word of silence. Fassbender meanwhile has a slew of films supposedly in the works including Macbeth, Assassin’s Creed and X-Men: Apocalypse. Source – The Wrap

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
