Roland Emmerich, the director who last gave us Shakespearian conspiracy thriller Anonymous and will soon deliver White House Down, has bought the rights to sci-fi Emergence.  Nic Kelman has pitched the script to Emmerich but there is no studio attached yet and the plot is being kept top secret.  All that is being said is it will involve “hot button science elements”.  Whether this means cloning, AI, or some other “element” is anyone’s guess.  Emmerich has a pretty full schedule as it is, so presumably Emergence will wait until after such projects as his proposed Independence Day Sequel and another sci-fi movie in the shape of Singularity.  Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
