Ryan Reynolds and Tarsem Singh, the star last seen in Safe House and the director who last gave us Mirror Mirror, are both in talks to star and direct sci-fi Selfless.  The script was written by Carriers writing pair Alex and David Pastor and tells the story of an aging man who implants his mind into a younger body in order to allow him to keep living.  But when he discovers how this new body was acquired he must go on the run from the company responsible who are now determined to silence him.  The film was announced nearly a year ago but has been left waiting in development until now.  Singh is currently in development on his adaptation of Marco Polo but if he signs it’s possible Selfless will take priority.  Reynolds meanwhile has dead cop action-adventure movie R.I.P.D. coming out later this year as well as kidnap thriller Queen Of The Night.  Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
