Sam Rockwell, soon to be seen later this summer in The Way Way Back, is in early talks to take the lead in the reboot of Tobe Hooper’s 1982 horror Poltergeist.  While Rockwell hasn’t signed yet he is said to be intrigued by the project but is also weighing up a number of other offers on the table.  If he takes the role he’ll star opposite Rosemarie DeWitt with Gil Kenan, the director who has a bit of experience with haunted houses thanks to animation Monster House, directing from a script by Oz: The Great And The Powerful writer David Lindsay-Abaire.  The original film saw a family move into a new home only to witness their youngest daughter sucked into the TV and occupy the space between life and death.  While they try to get her back to the real world they have to battle the evil poltergeist who wants to keep her for its own.  Rockwell will next be seen opposite Olivia Wilde in Better Through Chemistry before starring opposite William H. Macy in A Single Shot.  As if that wasn’t enough he’ll then star with Keira Knightley and Chloe Moretz for Lynn Shelton’s Laggies.  Source – The Wrap

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
