Andrew Garfield, the star of The Social Network and these better known as Peter Parker aka The Amazing Spider-Man, is set to star in Martin Scorsese’s Silence.  The film, which Scorsese has been trying to get off the ground for some time, will be based on Shusaku Endo’s book of the same name.  The story follows two Jesuit priests who travel to Japan in the 17th Century to locate their mentor and to spread the Christian word.  But once there they face persecution and violence.  Inception and The Last Samurai’s Ken Wantanabe is also set to star in the film.  Scorsese has, as ever, a host of projects on his to do list with the likes of a Bill Clinton documentary in the works with The Wolf Of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, currently in the edit.  That’s before he gets round to his long gestating Sinatra biopic goes into production.  Garfield meanwhile is currently hard at work spinning webs around New York in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.  Source – Variety

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
