Stephen Spielberg, who last directed Lincoln and now has some time freed up in his schedule since Robopocalypse has been delayed, is turning his attention to American Sniper.  Based on the memoirs of Chris Kyle the film will tell the true story of Kyle who went from a young boy in Texas learning to shoot on hunting trips to becoming the US military’s most deadly assassin in history.  Over the course of his service Kyle recorded 150 confirmed kills earning him the nickname among insurgent forces as “The Devil” and even had a bounty put on his head.  His comrades on the other hand referred to him as “The Legend” as his sharp shooting protected his fellow soldiers with pinpoint accuracy.  Bradley Cooper is all set to star in the project which he is also producing.  Spielberg will now come onboard to co-produce with Cooper as well as direct the film.  Spielberg, of course, has a little experience with snipers having directed Barry Pepper’s sniper in Saving Private Ryan.  Source – The Hollywood Reporter

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
