Luke Evans, the Brit actor soon to be seen on villainy duty for Fast & Furious 6 before heading off to Middle Earth for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, has now been confirmed for the lead role in the remake of The Crow. The film will follow the same comic book adaptation of the original 1994 version, which became infamous for the tragic death of star Brandon Lee, about a rocker and his fiancé who are murdered only for him to be brought back to life as a supernatural avenging angel. There have been countless actors attached to the role with the likes of Bradley Cooper and James McAvoy both linked at one point with word coming late last month that Tom Hiddleston had bagged the role. However, it appears that director F. Javier Gutierrez always wanted Evans to fill the role and has bagged his man by delaying the film’s release production start date until 2014. The reason for that is Evans has been cast in Dracula which is currently in pre-production with Evans rumoured to be filling the title role. Source – Deadline
