It seems that one Dave Eggers adaptation is not enough for Tom Hanks as while he’s recently wrapped on Tom Tykwer’s A Hologram For The King he’s now linked to star in another Eggers adaptation with The Circle.  Teaming up with The Fault In Our Stars writer James Ponsoldt, who will also direct, The Circle doesn’t yet have a studio attached but that is expected to chance once the bidding war has been settled.

The Circle tells the story of a young woman hired to work for the titular internet company who group all your online profiles into one identity meaning no more cyber-bullying and an age of greater clarity into who is doing what online.  But this of course leads to a loss of privacy and the story soon descends into a thriller.

Hanks has a number of projects awaiting release in including Hologram along with Steven Spielberg’s as yet untitled Cold War thriller as well as his re-teaming with Meg Ryan for drama Ithaca.  Source – Deadline

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
