No stranger to literary adaptations, having last directed John Le Carré’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Tom Alfredson will next turn his attention to adapting Jo Nesbø’s The Snowman. Nesbø’s book is the most popular in his Harry Hole series of detective novels which sees the hard-drinking, chain-smoking detective tracking down a killer who marks his victims with a freshly build snowman nearby. Alfredson will once again team with Working Title, the people behind his Tinker Tailor success, to bring the gritty Norwegian crime thriller to life. Nesbø meanwhile continues to be a source ripe for cinematic adaptation having already seen his Headhunters come to darkly brilliant life and news that Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Espinosa are circling his Blood On Snow while Channing Tatum is said to be attached to Nesbø’s latest book The Son. If you haven’t read a Nesbø book expect a bleak outlook with a smidge of noirish brilliance. Source – Variety

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email:
