Twin Peaks Cookbook Offers Up Damn Fine Cherry Pie
Twin Peaks is the biggest cult TV programme of all time. First shown in the 1990s, it is celebrated by die-hard fans and ingrained in popular culture. Twenty-five years later it continues to inspire television shows, films, commercials and song lyrics. Often referred to as ‘the best TV show ever made’ it was recently announced to David Lynch’s 2.5 million Twitter followers that Twin Peaks will return as a new limited series in 2017!
Damn Fine Cherry Pie: The Unauthorised Cookbook by Lindsey Bowden gives fans the chance to re-live the cult classic with more than 100 recipes inspired by iconic scenes and characters: Agent Cooper’s Super Crispy Bacon, Coffee Donuts, Icelandic Hangikjot, Leland Palmer’s Buffalo Joint, Maddy Ferguson’s Cherry Cola Ham, Percolator Fish Supper, Audrey Horne’s Cherry Julep, The Log Lady’s Chocolate Chestnut Log and, of course, the Double R Diner’s famous cherry pie.
Lindsey Bowden is the founder and producer of the Twin Peaks UK Festival. Launched in 2010, it is now in its seventh year. Attended by cast members and fans alike it takes place this year at London’s Picturehouse Central, Piccadilly on Saturday 12th November – www.twinpeaksukfest.com
