Vince Vaughn, last seen in The Watch and about to re-team with Owen Wilson for The Internship, is teaming up with his Couples Retreat director Peter Billingsley for comic adaptation Term Life.  Based on A.J. Lieberman’s Image comic the story follows Nick Barrow, who Vaughn would portray, as a man who plans other peoples’ crimes.  The problem is that through his work he’s upset just about everyone and when the latest job he plans goes wrong he’s got mob bosses and corrupt cops coming after him.  Deciding to do something good with his life he takes out an insurance policy against his own life making his daughter the sole beneficiary if he lives 21 days, which turns out is unlikely given everyone wants to kill him.  While the last time Vaughn and Billingsley united it didn’t set the world a light this sounds like more Vaughn fair and will allow him to demonstrate his usual dry shtick while avoiding flying bullets.  There’s no script yet but studio Universal want the film to start shooting in January.  Before that we’ll see Vaughn in sperm donor comedy The Delivery Man and returning to San Diego for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.  Source – The Wrap

Alex Moss’ obsession with film began the moment he witnessed the Alien burst forth from John Hurt’s stomach. It was perhaps ill-advised to witness this aged 6 but much like the beast within Hurt, he became infected by a parasite called ‘Movies’. Rarely away from his computer or a big screen, as he muses on Cinematic Deities, Alex is “more machine now than man. His mind is twisted and evil”. Email: alex.moss@filmjuice.com
