Pirates of the Caribbean 4K Steelbook Collection Unboxing

In Features by Samuel Love

The enormously successful and much loved Pirates of the Caribbean series makes its long-awaited 4K UHD debut, and Zavvi have brought out the big guns – or cannons – with their stunning exclusive steelbook set. Housing all five films in the sparkling 4K format, the release collects the much-celebrated blockbuster series that, even now, only 20 years later, feels like a bygone era of cinematic spectacle. With an all-star cast and breathtaking special effects that have lost none of their power to dazzle, Pirates of the Caribbean remains pure entertainment.

The films look and sound better than ever on the 4K UHD format, and although The Curse of the Black Pearl’s transfer leaves a little to be desired, the overall feeling from this set is one of satisfaction. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for 4K collectors, indeed.
