Radiance Films Blu-ray Unboxings

There’s a new boutique label in town. Radiance Films promise “films, books, merchandise and more curated from a variety of genres and modes of filmmaking, from arthouse provocateurs to genre classicscreated from the best available materials (with) a wealth of supplementary features on disc and extensive booklets featuring new and archival writing” and if their first releases are anything to go by, we are certainly in good hands here. Their inaugural releases of January ‘23 are Big Time Gambling Boss and The Working Class Goes to Heaven, while their first two releases in collaboration with Fun City Editions are Married to the Mob and Cutter’s Way.

These four releases present these acclaimed films in the best possible quality with oodles of special features and fascinating writings within their included booklets. Fantastic stuff and an incredible introduction to this new label that promises incredible things in 2023 and beyond. Second Sight Films, Arrow, Indicator…y’all better watch out.

We took a look at the two Radiance releases…

…and the two Fun City Editions.

About Radiance Films

Radiance Films is founded on a passion for cinema. A series of films, books, merchandise and more curated from a variety of genres and modes of filmmaking, from arthouse provocateurs to genre classics. Each release is created from the best available materials and includes a wealth of supplementary features on disc and extensive booklets featuring new and archival writing, where applicable.

About Fun City Editions

Taking its name from the ironic moniker for late 1960s and ’70s New York, Fun City Editions is a new boutique label focused on reissues of maverick repertory cinema that can best be described as works that exist “outside of their time.” Spanning an array of genres, artists and countries, but with a unifying focus on forgotten and overlooked treasures, each Fun City release will present new restorations and comprehensive extras which contextualize and illuminate the artistic and historic value of the piece. Radiance Films is delighted to represent this excellent label alongside its own releases.
