In News by Alex Moss Editor

Reese Witherspoon, to be seen this week in Mud and later in the year in Devi’s Knot, is about to re-team with director James Mangold, who directed her to an Oscar in Walk The Line, for Three Little Words.  Based on the memoirs of Ashley Rhodes-Courter, the story tells of a young girl in the Florida welfare system who befriends a volunteer, to be played by Witherspoon, who tracks down the girls mother in the hope of convincing her to give up her parental rights in order to allow the girl to start a life of her own.  Amanda Seyfried is rumoured to be in talks to play the girl’s mother.  The Fighter’s Lewis Colick and The Book Thief’s Michael Petroni will adapt the book to screenplay format for Mangold to direct and produce.  Mangold’s next film stars a certain Hugh Jackman in familiar guise in The Wolverine is released later this year.  Witherspoon was last week linked to sci-fi Passengers opposite Keanu Reeves but there is no word on if she has signed yet.  She will definitely be seen later this year in The Good Lie.  Source – The Hollywood Reporter
