Samuel LoveBBC’s new Blu-ray release of The League of Gentlemen brings the beloved, surreal, and darkly comedic series to high-definition for the very first time. This comprehensive set includes all three seasons of the groundbreaking show, alongside its later specials, allowing fans to experience the bizarre and twisted world of Royston Vasey with a fresh level of disturbing clarity. With its sharp, eccentric humor and unforgettably disturbing characters, the series remains a much-loved cult classic. However, it is worth noting that while the Blu-ray release encompasses every television episode and special, it does not feature the film Apocalypse. Still, as a collection of the League’s small-screen outings, this release should be considered definitive – the visual upgrade offers a new way to revisit the grotesque and absurd situations crafted by the creators Reece Shearsmith, Stever Pemberton, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson, making it a must-have for any fan of British comedy.
